Whassup Yall,

This april's been a pretty friggin intense ass month yo. So many performances all over Madison from Bars to protests to rockin the terrace, which is madison code for hella drunk white people. But yeah, I can't even remember all the shows without lookin at the calendar. Started the month off with a show at RATED P. It's Madison's annual Filipino Arts Festival. Ashlyn and I rocked with a guitarist from Chicago named Manny... something, sorry bro! AAAAND, Ruby Ibarra! She's super dope and from the bay. West Coast Pin@ys reppin all day.

Here's some fotos from the show took by Anissa! Thanks homie!

Here's a lil snippet of the steelo Ashlyn and I tryin out:

Then I went right to Linebreaks Festival of the Arts produced by the Office of Multicultural Arts Initiatives. I was asked to talk about how my activism interacts with my art. I opted instead to talk about how my life informs my organizing work and how that informs my art. Whatthefuckever. I do art and I also organize, and sometimes I organize artistically by healing myself. yeeeeeeee...

Then a bunch of other shiiiiit... Queer Prom... Break the Silence Wisconsin... I had fun and I looked good. Pretty much all ya need to know.

Damn. The end of April's where it got a bit crazy. Somehow I went from having one show at Hip Hop as a Movement Week to hella! Last minute the homie Jair hit me up like "Ayo, holler if you're tryna expand your rap career by tomorrow, you already know"... Homeboy hooked it up for me to open for Los Rakas and Black Milk!! Two of my favorite hip hop acts right now! I was hyyyyype! I would show yall some footage of that joint but I just caint.

Then within a weekTHO, I was facilitating a workshop and performing with Invincible of DetroiTHO!! She riiiiipped it tho! As always, nothing new really. Detroit was in the house deep as hellTHO, with Invincible's two womyn band on the drums and the cello AND another opener alongside myself, Myriaha BurtonTHO! Beastily showin us what D hip hop all abouTHO. Please holler at the Not Enough Mics Mixtape if you wanna hear from Myriaha!

And then the final performance of April... At first, I got asked to rock some poetry. And I was like... sure. even though its not really been my priority/I have written a poem in months. But somehow the day of, the homie was like "NEVERMIND CAN YOU RAP!!" Now, normally I don't respond well to demands especially people demanding me to rap, but with this new mixtape dropping and all I'm trying to do anything I can to promo. Here's some footage from the homie Chinokoki at the Terrace.

After all of the work put into the craft this month, I'm pretty content. I've learned alot about performing... mic control, sound checks, and most importantly, I've learned I can not dance! So... If you want to help a brotherish out, holler at me about some dancing lessons. I'm open to pretty much anything these days.

As I look forward to May, Look out Seattle we bout to get it in @ Folklife. FAREAL.
